The members of our Advisory Board are recognized childbirth and lactation experts who dedicate themselves to the health and well-being of mothers and their babies. We are so grateful to them for graciously donating their time and experience to our Advisory Board.
Michelle H. Kinne, BA, IBCLC, RLC, ICCE, CD (DONA), has worked within the discipline of maternal and child health for two decades. Currently Michelle works for Franciscan Health System at St. Joseph Medical Center in Tacoma, WA as a Lactation Consultant where she supports a busy inpatient mother baby unit and a level III NICU. Michelle also Coordinates the Franciscan Perinatal Education department and serves as the Franciscan WIC Breastfeeding Peer Counselor Lead. As former faculty for Bates Technical College, Michelle served thousands of perinatal education students and has trained hundreds of students in both perinatal career preparation and professional development education. She is a magna cum laude graduate of Western Washington University where she majored in Human Services and Social Work and she is an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant. Her heart's desire remains her adored 3 children and the flame still burns for her husband, a fireman.
