Jeanne Green, MT, LCCE, CD(DONA), FACCE, began her career in childbirth education as one of the first childbirth educators in the state of Arkansas. She helped to establish Prepared Childbirth, Inc. of Little Rock and became a Lamaze International Certified Childbirth Educator. After moving to Texas in 1977, she founded and served as director and educator for The Family Way, Inc. Currently Jeanne serves as a trainer for Lamaze International and as a Family Educator for Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital of Dallas. Jeanne is co-author of Prepared Childbirth - The Family Way, Prepared Childbirth - The Educator's Guide, and Preparing for Multiples - The Family Way. She is a DONA International certified doula and birth doula trainer and is a Fellow in the American College of Childbirth Educators. She has presented workshops and sessions for numerous groups including Lamaze International and the International Childbirth Education Association. Jeanne enjoys teaching, writing, attending births, and traveling the world. She holds a degree in biology from Trinity University. She and her husband Gordon have three daughters and a son. Happily, they have each done their part to add eight amazing grandchildren to the family tree, including a set of twins!
