Provide young people with a startling perspective on teen parenting with this Enhanced Version of the popular Standard simulator, which includes an extra program simulating the more demanding needs of a drug- or alcohol-affected baby. Each newborn-size (5½ lb; 20" long) simulator demands multiple types of care and cries unpredictably around the clock. It requires attention more than 20 times (episodes last 5 to 30 minutes) and offers four 48-hour program settings. Simulator alerts the teacher to abuse and tampering, teaches SIDS prevention by crying if placed facedown, and includes a “panic” key that quiets the model without discontinuing the simulation. The Enhanced Version also includes a bendable neck and a daycare pause feature. Comes with student keys, teacher keys, parental consent form, student response sheet, teacher correction template, and more. A great way to teach young people that parenting is a 24-hour, 7-day-a-week, lifelong commitment.

Unlike “egg babies” or other makeshift “babies,” the Ready-or-Not Tot provides a realistic baby-tending experience, effectively demonstrating how demanding and time-consuming parenting can be. Perfect for use with teens or expectant parents. 


Each Enhanced simulator includes all the features of the Standard Version:

  • Requires multiple types of care by the student
  • Cries at pre-selected intervals around the clock
  • Provides baby-tending events that are unpredictable to the student but completely controllable by the teacher
  • Requires a student’s attention for more than 20 tending occurrences lasting from 5 to 30 minutes
  • Offers three 48-hour tending programs, including fussy periods
  • Is newborn size (5½ lb; 20" long) and anatomically accurate
  • Has a “panic” key that allows quieting the simulator without discontinuing the entire simulation
  • Alerts the teacher to a student’s abuse, panic, or tampering with the control box
  • Teaches sudden infant death syndrome (SIDS) prevention—baby cries if placed on its stomach

The Enhanced Version also includes:

  • A fourth program that simulates the more demanding needs of a drug- or alcohol-affected baby
